Am I?
Hi, I'm Pieter van der Westhuizen. I live in Pretoria, South Africa with
my wife and a harrier called Mutley.
I have a software development company
called Coalition Software,
that is still going strong after 2 years. I started this blog to force myself to
stay up to date with technologies and not to stagnate and to be
constantly challenged.
I have a big passion for
IT and all aspects of it. I've been in the industry for 9 years and
counting
and played around with computers since primary school, I was a pro at
Sopwith
and that
game where you have to rescue bouncing babies from a burning building,
can't remember it's name, all this in glorious amber and black on my
Hercules
Monochrome monitor.

and on....
Jeff's
.Net Rocks Interview actually inspired me to start this blog.
Mythical Man Moth?
I've called this blog Mythical Man Moth because I've always thought
that Frederick P. Brooks 's book was entitled "Mythical Man Moth",
instead of "Mythical Man Month".
I've always recommended the book "Mythical Man Moth" to everyone(before
I've actually read it), and
no-one has ever corrected me....a classic example of misunderstanding in
IT. :-)
